“Eat That Frog!” by Brian Tracy focuses on time management, which is closely interlinked with goal setting. The title covers the book’s essence – identify your most important job and start eating the ‘frog’.
Brian Tracy guides you through 21 ways to save time and stop procrastinating. The most valuable of which are: firstly, write on paper your goals (presumably, you know yourself and are heading in the right direction) for each area of your life and put them within a time frame; secondly, use the Pareto principle which states that 80 % of your results comes from 20% of your activities; thirdly, identify your key results area and grade yourself of how well or poorly you perform and start improving.
The book offers excellent advice, but figuring out where to start and what order to follow might seem overwhelming. Results are guaranteed if you create a frame for using the techniques and the suggestions. As with all self-development books, the content must be read repeatedly to become a habit; the audio version is beneficial as it is only two and a half hours.
It is a perfect reading for professionals to write New Year’s resolutions.
