Why Tuesdays are special for Lulu?
The little girl, Lulu, is a regular at her local library. On the day of her visit, she wakes up even earlier to prepare the book she borrowed. Lulu’s library boasts a wide variety of books in the children’s section, ensuring there’s something for every young reader. With so many choices, it’s always a delightful challenge for her to decide, but she has a soft spot for stories about bears. Sometimes, Lulu joins in the library activities, songs, rhymes, and story time with other children.
Through the book, young readers are directed to borrow books. This involves carrying your library card and waiting for the buzzing sound from the machine, which signals the book is ready to take home. The librarian marks the day when the books are due. The appreciation for books Lulu has from her mother, who also borrows books for herself and loves to share books with Lulu at bedtime. Library days seem special for them both, and they enjoy a treat.
Lulu Loves the Library is an excellent introduction to library services for EYFS children. It is an easy-to-follow story that will improve speaking skills and build confidence. Lulu is the first book in the Lulu series published by Alanna Max, which caters to children from diverse backgrounds.
